Poetically conceived to recall the fallen leaves of the great trees of the Venezuelan rain forests, with Folium, Agrella seeks to take us back to the olden times of our ancestors, when they would use these unique leaves as containers and wrappers; leaves through which the sensory memory of the tropics is translated into utilitarian products.

Formally, they recreate the tropical sinuosity and are presented as dual-purpose products thanks to the design of broad wings and the increased depth of the base, which allows the piece to hold liquids when turned. Each piece of the Folium collection depicts the shape of a valley and a mountain, front and back respectively.

Folium showcases three formal types of tableware of varying size, ranging from 11.8 to 16.5 inches long and 4.7 to 6.7 inches wide. This limited-edition service set is comprised of only 110 pieces; each finely crafted with the most exquisite porcelain, intricately processed through the "lost mould" method, making each piece on this utilitarian product set a collector’s item.

In order to guarantee the distinctiveness of the product, Rodolfo Agrella has personally intervened in the confection of each item, developing unique patterns with his trademark curvilinear and sensual geometries. In every instance, Agrella made use of state-of-the-art resources to ensure that each porcelain piece preserved its lucent white color. Every item on the collection has been appropriately classified using a numerical system that assigns a code to each type.
