The 15% Collection is the beginning of a larger furniture system that embodies the spirit of the so called Bolivarian Diaspora. Since 2008, the political and socio-economic situation in Venezuela has torn down a wealthy and resourceful country into an unsafe geography with a volatile economy, marching backwards with the revolution flag. This situation has forced the exodus of well prepared Venezuelans across the world, looking for a better, stable and secure context to grow, leaving everything behind. The current Diaspora effect left a visible empty spot in the country, 15% of the population has migrated, 15% of the social fabric is missing, 15% of my people –including me- have a constant feeling that something is missing, our land.
The Collection presents a visual interpretation of that 15%, by removing or enhancing 15% of the surface and constructive material of each piece, via acid showers that fade down the physical qualities of each element, without compromising the furniture function. A Cabinet system, constructed in solid wood wrapped in cotton and polyester fabric, where the indents created with subtraction of the 15% of the material plays as grip elements for pulling drawers and doors. The resting 85% of the cabinet’s fabric surface has been washed out using a desaturation process with acid. Rugs are also part of the collection, with 2 version, one where pure silk is tufted on 15% of the surface, leaving visible the supporting mesh , and the second version by removing the same percentage, leaving a de-saturated area. Currently in development there’s a marble table system and glass lighting fixtures, based on the same logic of removing and enhancing the 15%.

LIMITED EDITION OF 6 SILKSCREEN PRINTS X 12 DESIGNS
From an architectural point of view, spaces are determined by the perimeter -even if that frontier is not a physical one- a basic configuration of a container and content. How do we approach to that perimeter, the relation between that border, the context, and other containers; the interaction of the border itself and the content, not from a physical experience but from mindful and sensory experience, is the starting point for Memory Loop. A series of silkscreen prints that recreates overlapped spaces of Caracas architecture, landscaping and public art.
The synthesis of multiple perimeters juxtaposed, blended through the use of solid pure black, opens up a new gate to remember the architectural and sensory space in a different way. Thus the use of yellow paint, that folds through the architectural space and invades the pieces, the expansion of the border is achieved.
This is not art, it is a document that communicates a live organic space, a place in the memory.

LIMITED EDITION OF 100 PIECES
DESIGNED AND HAND COLLECTED BY RODOLFO AGRELLA
Poetically conceived to recall the fallen leaves of the great trees of the Venezuelan rain forests, with Folium, Agrella seeks to take us back to the olden times of our ancestors, when they would use these unique leaves as containers and wrappers; leaves through which the sensory memory of the tropics is translated into utilitarian products.
Formally, they recreate the tropical sinuosity and are presented as dual-purpose products thanks to the design of broad wings and the increased depth of the base, which allows the piece to hold liquids when turned. Each piece of the Folium collection depicts the shape of a valley and a mountain, front and back respectively.
Folium showcases three formal types of tableware of varying size, ranging from 11.8 to 16.5 inches long and 4.7 to 6.7 inches wide. This limited-edition service set is comprised of only 110 pieces; each finely crafted with the most exquisite porcelain, intricately processed through the "lost mould" method, making each piece on this utilitarian product set a collector’s item.
In order to guarantee the distinctiveness of the product, Rodolfo Agrella has personally intervened in the confection of each item, developing unique patterns with his trademark curvilinear and sensual geometries. In every instance, Agrella made use of state-of-the-art resources to ensure that each porcelain piece preserved its lucent white color. Every item on the collection has been appropriately classified using a numerical system that assigns a code to each type.

Serie C | Tableware
LIMITED EDITION OF 100 SETS
Serie C | Tableware is the beginning of a system of utilitarian products, based on the principles established by the Venezuelan Manuel Antonio Carreño Muñoz in his 1853 Manual. In Carreño’s Manual, as is known, he establishes the sets of rules and social codes of good manners and civility of the time, in order to interact successfully within the social context, making this compendium a reference in Latin America for the proper protocol structure and etiquette.
Once the guidelines of the Manual have been studied, Rodolfo Agrella reinterprets it in a contemporary way its articles and develops the service set of 6 pieces in porcelain, providing a new way of understanding such protocol, thanks to the creation of graphical coding for cutlery. Agrella develops demarcated patterns on each piece of crockery, where it is shown, with his ludic spirit, the proper placement of silverware after eating food. Serie C | Tableware, as an educational tool, seeks to reconcile the dynamics of the table within current society, recovering manners under the contemporary perspective.
LIMITED EDITION OF HANDMADE EXOTIC WOODS OBJECTS
By crudo is well known the oil in Venezuela, also by crudo or raw are known the unworked or unfinished materials. Thus the idea of mixing the raw nature and the synthetic feel of Venezuela Oil was born Crudo; a collaboration with Objetos dac to design a limited edition of objects in wood produced by hand in Venezuela.
Trays, boxes and spatulas where designed with local woods and then intervened graphically with a bold and dynamic black geometry, opposed to the soft nature of each object. In Crudo, the continuous geometric forms invade each object becoming a constant dialogue between the different ideas of natural and synthetic.
LIMITED EDITION HANGERS
The flexible structure that presents the Isidora coat rack evokes the voluptuous and seductive ways of the inhabitants of the tropics, curvy, tactile, and mutable. Isidora is friendly to the articles of clothing to be hung, generating the fewest possible marks in the garment due to its organic geometry and organic similarity to human skin. Isidora consists of a set of 3 or more support elements arranged directly on the wall without strict location, each element is joined by a rubber band, which by way of flexible rod, connects the set while providing more surface area to arrange light garments. A clear self interpretation of Gego’s Reticularea useful installation.
Isidora is produced in concrete with a flexible stainless steel structure; their dimensions may vary depending on space available to each and every user, making unique pieces depending on each different installation. This composition flexible and friendly provides them with an organic air typical of the tropics, communicating one’s life and personal-management of a design element.
