Imago, art in action is pleased to announce the first Solo Show of this cultural space recently opened in Coral Gables: Memory Loop by Rodolfo Agrella, next Friday, September 16th at 7pm.

Rodolfo Agrella is a well-known name in the world of contemporary Latin-American Design. Born in Caracas, graduated with honors from the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the Universidad Central de Venezuela and completed part of his degree abroad, at the renowned Politécnico di Milano. This New York based designer, has designed a diverse portfolio of products, achieving both national and international recognition.

Memory Loop is his most recent work, Rueda define this collection “as an exploration of forms, a notation, a text. Almost like a botanist, the work is presented as a sequence of variations of what seems to be, a basic module…Black on white, visual communication, form and space as fundamental concepts.

The form has arms, legs, edges, cut outs, smoothness, movement, feels like an architectural drawing sometimes, organic and structured in moments, free and open. An interplay between positive and negative, a sequence, a story.”

Agrella is solidly building his career by incorporating bold and sensual shapes, graphics, and a powerful color and material knowledge, translating his sensory memory from the tropics to an international language.
